UCDC Internship: Office of Congressman Mike Thompson and the Political Violence Lab

Bio: As a transfer student, I know how difficult it can be to navigate the complexities of the educational system while doing something other than the default. I want to ensure that everyone receives the support that they need to thrive, regardless of their particular journey.

Why I Love My Role: I love that my role allows me to share opportunities with fellow students. There are so many potential paths to explore and things to see, and I love being able to show that potential to the people around me. I hope that everyone is able to leave the program with the same sense of limitless possibility that I did.

Why I Love the Washington Program: My experience in DC allowed me to develop a deeper sense of myself. I was able to become more independent, and my time in the program gave me insight into where I would like to see my career take me.
