To help make your Washington, D.C. experience more affordable, we encourage all participants to explore the scholarship opportunities listed below. Keep in mind that these scholarships are meant to supplement your funding, and should not be relied upon as your sole source of financial support. Funding is competitive, not guaranteed, and availability can vary each term. While some scholarships may not be open right now, we recommend checking back periodically for updates. Remember, applications are only open to current program participants, and decisions are typically made after the final application deadline for each term.


Subsidized Unpaid Interns Program (SUIP)

The Subsidized Unpaid Interns Program (SUIP) provides financial assistance to students who have secured unpaid internships. This scholarship is available only to participants during the academic year (Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters) and is awarded based on the availability of funding. It is not available for the summer term.


Fiat Lux Scholarship

The Fiat Lux Scholarship is designed for students passionate about exploring a career in the financial services sector. This award provides up to $2,000 to support students in gaining hands-on experience in the field while interning in Washington, D.C. Selection is based on a demonstrated interest in financial services, academic performance, contributions to diversity, and financial need.


UC Davis Washington Program Scholarship

The UC Davis Washington Program Scholarship offers a $500 award to program participants from any major with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. This scholarship is intended to recognize and support students based on their meaningful achievements and future goals.


Joyce and Norm Weil Scholarship

The Joyce and Norm Weil Scholarship provides a $500 award for College of Letters and Science majors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must have a keen interest in politics or a political career and hold an internship on Capitol Hill, in the White House, or for a political party. This award is designed to support students who plan to leverage their D.C. experience for a future in public service.
