The Joyce and Norm Weil Scholarship is a targeted award for College of Letters and Science majors who are dedicated to pursuing a career in politics and public service. This scholarship provides financial support to students holding key internships on Capitol Hill, in the White House, or with a political party. It is designed to assist those who can clearly articulate how their academic studies and their Washington, D.C. experience will contribute to their future career goals.

Essay Prompt
Submit a 500-word essay that explains how your studies and the Washington Program experience will contribute to your immediate or long-range career plans.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a current participant in the Washington Program.
- Must be a major in the College of Letters and Science.
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must display a keen interest in politics and/or a political career.
- Must hold an internship on Capitol Hill (with a senator, congressperson, or a committee), in the White House, or for a political party.
