Enroll Now!

Your journey to a transformative quarter in Washington, D.C. begins here. This page serves as your comprehensive guide to our admissions process, from understanding how rolling admissions works to what to expect after you enroll. Use the links below to navigate to the section that interests you most.

How Rolling Admissions Benefits You

We accept enrollment submissions on a rolling basis for the upcoming academic year, with students receiving enrollment results within 5 working days of enrollment submission. While we encourage students to enroll early, all enrollments must be submitted by the final enrollment deadline. Please consult our Final Enrollment Deadlines page for all important dates. Submissions will not be accepted after the posted deadline.

While acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis for all who meet the minimum criteria, enrolling early gives you a significant advantage. We highly recommend that you do not wait until the final deadline, as your chosen quarter may fill up, especially for the popular summer quarter. Early enrollment is advantageous for students to ensure they are able to secure their place in their chosen quarter of participation. Please see our Final Enrollment Deadlines page to view final submission dates and check which quarters are still open.

Preparation for Admitted Students

Once you're accepted, your preparation begins immediately. You will be invited to a 1-on-1 advising session with the Program Manager with whom you can discuss any questions or concerns as well as learn about Program requirements. These sessions provide a head start on your preparation, covering topics such as:

  • A detailed introduction to the internship search process and available tools.
  • Personalized advising on resumes and cover letters.
  • Actionable strategies for last-minute resume-building activities.
  • An open Q&A to address any questions students may have.

Core Enrollment Requirements

To ensure all participants are set up for success, we have several core requirements for acceptance:

  • A complete Enrollment submission.
  • Good standing with the University (currently meeting minimum progress, minimum GPA requirements, and have no current negative Office of Student Support and Judicial Affairs actions.)
  • A minimum of two work, volunteer, or internship experiences. To meet the core enrollment requirements for acceptance into the Washington Program, you must have at least two experiences. These can be work, volunteer, or internship roles, research projects, class projects, or any combination of the two.

UCDC Housing Contract

Acceptance into the Program is finalized by signing the UCDC housing contract. Students will be given a specific deadline to complete this step. Signing the contract officially confirms your enrollment. Prior to signing, you may withdraw from the program without penalty.

Enrollment Status: Waitlists

After the program has reached capacity for a given term, eligible students will be waitlisted pending availability in the program. Waitlisted students may participate in all workshops and will be notified if there has been an opening in the program.

Waitlist movement is common. We encourage you to enroll regardless of current availability. Waitlisted students will be contacted regarding placement within the Program. You are invited to all Program meetings until you withdraw or the waitlist closes.
