Housing Contracts & Financial Policies
Understanding your housing agreement is an important step for both prospective and accepted students.
The Housing Contract Requirement
To officially join the program, all accepted students are required to sign a legally binding housing contract. This contract guarantees your place in the program and confirms your financial responsibility for all associated housing costs.
- Housing Costs: Costs are determined by the UCDC Center and are calculated based on a daily rate. You may not request a prorated reduction for late arrival or early departure.
- Payments: Housing costs are billed to your MyBill account in three monthly installments. For current rates, visit the Program Costs and Budgeting page.
Petition for Housing Contract Release
The UCDC housing contract is a legally binding agreement for a full quarter. Financial hardship, a different opportunity, not securing an internship, or a change of mind does not warrant release from the contract.
A petition for release will only be considered under the sole discretion of the Program Director if a student provides verification of an extreme circumstance that originated after the contract was signed.
