Housing Cost
Housing costs for the UC Davis Washington Program are determined by the UCDC Center in Washington, D.C. The total cost is calculated based on a daily rate multiplied by the number of days in the program term. Students may not request a prorated reduction in housing costs if they choose to arrive after the program start date or depart before the program end date. We post the official costs on this page as they are released at the end of each academic year. For quarters not yet listed, you should anticipate a 3-5% increase from one year to the next.
You are not expected to sign a binding housing contract until the housing contract deadline, which is listed on your acceptance letter. You can also find this date on the program calendar on our website.

Housing Payment Schedule and Policies
The total housing cost for the quarter is billed to the student's MyBill account in three monthly installments. Payments are processed by UC Davis Student Housing.
Installment due dates are scheduled for the 15th of each month, beginning with the student's arrival month for the program.
- Installment 1: Due on the 15th of the program arrival month.
- Installment 2: Due on the 15th of the second month of the program.
- Installment 3: Due on the 15th of the third month of the program.
This installment plan is a standard program feature designed to distribute the housing cost; these payments are program fees and not traditional rental payments.
Lump-Sum Payment Option: Students who wish to pay the entire housing balance in a single payment may request an alternative billing arrangement. This request must be submitted in writing to the Washington Program office at least one month prior to the first installment due date.
