I am a fourth-year History major with a double minor in Jewish Studies and Human Rights. I was part of the Summer 2018 cohort of the UC Davis Washington Program, where I had the opportunity to work as a Regional Operations Intern with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). As an intern, I lobbied, created programs, and drafted memos, press releases, and social media posts on ADL issue areas such as anti-Semitism, racism, extremism, and much more. The Washington Program provided me with an unforgettable experience in Washington D.C. The program not only gave me the opportunity to explore D.C.’s vibrant sites and neighborhoods, as well as the chance to travel to places like New York and Philadelphia with some of my best friends, but also helped me to solidify my desire to work for a civil rights organization after I graduate. As the Student Lead, I aim to use my experiences in D.C. to encourage UC Davis students to participate in this program, and to help prospective students best take advantage of all it has to offer!
