UC Washington Center

Living in Washington, DC is a new and exciting experience for Washington Program participants. Known for its international atmosphere and cultural diversity, Washington, DC is a unique and stimulating environment.

The UC Washington Center is located in the heart of downtown, with easy access to public transportation, historical monuments, museums, restaurants, theater, and nightlife. Although the Program is academically intense, students are able to take advantage of a variety of activities offered through the UC Center. Recent activities offered by the UC Center include: tours of the State Department, White House, and Pentagon, trips to Philadelphia and Gettysburg, attending a Baltimore Orioles baseball game, Mama Mia, and taping of CNN's "Inside Politics." These are just a selection!

UC Davis Washington Program

The UC Davis Program also offers activities to program participants such as: guided tours of Annapolis, MD and the U.S. Naval Academy by Senior Program Manager, Sara Lombardo, and tours of the Capitol and Embassies arranged by participating Davis students.

 

Many students explore the city independently, sometimes arranging weekend trips to New York and Boston. Below are links to local resources you may find helpful during your quarter in DC.
